BVM adds a fanless Core 2 Duo embedded computer module to its range of systems. The EBC-965 features an embedded long life Mini-ITX motherboard in an open frame chassis which doubles as a heat sink whilst providing a convenient mounting and protection for the mtherboard.
The design incorporates a metal tray under the module and a heatsink above the CPU. This provides a mechanically secure assembly which can be mounted directly to the wall of an equipment cabinet or embedded within a larger enclosure.
Various mounting options are provided including a VESA mount, side rails or brackets. When mounted with suitable air circulation, fanless operation is possible. Alternatively in difficult environments provision is made for additional cooling.
The EBC-965 supports a Socket P Core 2 Duo CPU with an 800MHz FSB supported by the GME965 chipset. Dual SODIM modules allow up to 4GB of DDR2 memory to be installed. Dual graphics displays are included together with a Gigabit LAN controller. The usual array of PC peripherals are available including a Mini-PCI expansion slot, 6xUSB2.0, 2xSATA, a CompactFlash socket. Power is from a single 12Volt supply which is provided by an external 96Watt PSU via a 4pin Din connector. |
